Very Hard Rock EP

by The Grind

supported by
Morts
Morts thumbnail
Morts The most throat-shredding vocals I've heard since Ben Hollyer (October File)! Straight-out heavy rawk with a slight southern rock influenced feel to it, in fact The Grind is a highly appropriate name for the band with the grinding guitar and the aforementioned "vocal chords in a thresher" singing! Favorite track: Mind Suppressant.

Soshanna ♥ Yeah baby!! This is a 3 track EP that is just loaded with aggressive heart and soul and simple rawk-n-roll!. Favorite track: Mind Suppressant.

I let the screens tuck me in Every single night I’m lost in darkness When I stare into the light Calling all you analgesic Drooling zombie ghouls You know I’d love to judge you But I’m one of you too Gotta take my Mind Suppressant To get me through the night Gotta take my Mind Suppressant Cuz it hurts to be alive Cynical absurdities In a convenient running time We ate the apple and saw our skin Now there’s nowhere left to hide When I live in another’s life My own cannot be found So get me back to the Garden, babe And I’ll lay my burden down Gotta take my Mind Suppressant To get me through the night Gotta take my Mind Suppressant Cuz it hurts to be alive There’s nothing better to do Better than this

Friday’s done And I wish that I could die So I’m digging a hole Where I can crawl in and do my time I’ve been a slave Working for years Running to the call Of all, all my weak ass hopes and fears My mouth’s been picked And my pocket’s dry I been so sick I think the worm’s gonna dine But the man came down Came out of the sky He raised his fist And I saw the sign Get Belligerent Tell all your demons they can go to Hell You wonder why Why fate is always cruel But then I see you shovel in the shit The shit that you call your food You’ve been a slave Working for years Running to the call Of all, all your weak ass hopes and fears When you’re down get pissed Set your house aright When they ready the yoke Fucking start a fight If you’re livin’ in Rome Set the place alight You know the world ain’t shit To what you got inside Get belligerent Tell all your demons they can go to Hell

Well it used to call me up at night To howl beneath the moon But now it draws the blinds for me And locks me in my room Some might say I lost my way On the road to Neverland But the chains you see were forged by me And locked by my own hand Well, Fee Fi Fo Fum I hear my bad side calling “come get some” I’m on a run Yeah can’t you tell? I’d stick my head in a fire Just to take a good look at Hell Just how long In the hole will you stay? Does picking your scabs Really bury the pain? And just how ugly Will your sight remain Before you get enough sense To turn your eyes away? Well, Fee Fi Fo Fum I hear my bad side calling “come get some” I’m on a run Yeah can’t you tell? I’d stick my head in a fire Just to take a good look at Hell I can hear it calling
